Write for us
We welcome pitches that help curious readers understand concert culture, listen with fresh attention or feel more at ease with the customs around a performance.
What to pitch
Send a focused idea about programmes, listening, venues, concert customs or musical memories. A strong pitch asks a specific question, explains why it may interest a general reader and suggests the shape of the piece without trying to cover everything at once.
What makes a contribution work
We look for clear, original writing grounded in accurate, checkable information or a clearly framed personal perspective. Useful comparisons and concrete examples are welcome; unexplained specialist language, unsupported claims and promotional copy are not a fit.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to propose a piece. Include a working title, a short summary and any relevant experience or writing samples you wish to share. Please do not send a complete article unless requested.
Listening starts with curiosity
A concert is more than a set of pieces. The room, the order and the way you listen all shape what you take away.
